ANALOGY
Fresh water mountain springs
of timeless incubation
do over ageless
time
their tributaries combine
forming mountain streams
which cut and
channel
guided by Nature and gravity
until at their maturity
waters
into rivers turn
which then confluence form
resulting in rivers of great
majesty.
Life too, starts
with an incubation
in a liquid womb
which
over given time
a birth gives forth
that slowly but steadily grows
by
custom and Nature sown
guided, shaped, nurtured
till maturity is
attained
enabling one then to join
in the mainstream of
life.
Our 'River of Life' just as
cascading mountain streams
their
channels cut and form,
demands we too select and conform
to the norms of
our societies
despite
life's many obstacles,
as rock and boulder
in stream's way stand,
so
too must we circumvent,
as rivers turn and meander
we too attune our
demeanor
adjust to changing situations,
rivers to their final destination
flow
joining vast bodies of water below,
we too will reach our final
destination
merging with the 'River of No Return.'
