ALIKENESS
As the warm rays of the sun
Are vital in their rotation
So too is the warmth radiating
From deep within your bosom
Both necessary ingredients
Sustaining my life and affection.
Here most often an azure sky
Matching the beauty of your eyes
Providing air so we will not die
Air that lets us give a deep sigh
Which when together exemplifies
Our feelings of two lovely butterflies.
We also need water to sustain life
For without it we cannot survive
Our kisses indeed would be very dry
Were not our bodies with water supplied
Its circulation feeding both body and mind
Making it such joy to embrace you in kind.
Nourishment too is needed to maintain
Varieties of foods of all types of arraign
Needed too, food for the heart, soul and brain
These, esoteric, much more difficult to attain
Through our chemistry a commitment made
Commensurate with our conscience as aid,
In short a verse from the poet’s palette-
Your affection so genuine, your love
so sincere
Your presence so inspiring, so tender, so near
Your happiness imprinted on your face
Your whole being one of charm of grace.
