A WONDERFUL DAY

She was so sweet

She was so nice

She was aglow

With love for me.

We spent the day

As two for one

Held our hands

Embraced and kissed

Each hour spent

Was filled with bliss

Each minute strengthened

Our feeling of love.

We drove out of town

For a charming long talk

A pleasant quiet lunch

With a window shopping walk

Stopped in at the Egyptian theater

To watch a comedy,’ Planet 51’

Sat very close

Our emotions running hot

It was the best movie for me

Thanks to my love

I did see some of it.

It was dark

On the way back

My love drove carefully

We talked a lot

Made plans for our future

It was all very positive

We could hardly believe

How much in love we were

Stopped for a healthy dinner

Enjoyed our meal, took our time

Reviewed the day

Agreed how happy it was

A long parting embrace

Adorned with kisses galore

We promised our next trip

Would be the Great Salt Lake

To the city that graces its shore

Promising forever that we

Will never part again.
