Each living thing
is different
No matter the species they are
Minute variations one by one
Give every chromosome its mark.
Though similar we
may seem
Taking gender into account
The way we feel,
The way we think,
The way we experience our senses,
Make us as different from one another
As based on each of our
Unique genetic structure.
How is it then that
we can function
As a homogeneous whole,
Having like aims, desires and aspirations
To form our societal
norms.
The answer is,
That so far, as seen throughout history
Not very well at all.
It is factually surprising
That we have gotten to where we are
Moreover, even more inspiring
Our future indicators seem many,
Pointing to promising results
As we continue our explorations
Trying to understand ourselves
Striving continually
to improve our species
Known as, Homo Sapiens
Or better yet as SAPS.
